History of Metrology in short

Metrology in short was conceived by DFM and was first published as Metrologi- Kort og Godt in 1998. A second print was made in 2000. The publication received funding from the Danish Ministry of Enterprise.

In 2000 Metrologi kort og godt was translated into English, partly financed through a special grant from the PRAQIII and made available to all PHARE countries to ease their transition to a European metrology organization. It was published as in connection with the EUROMET Project 595.

The second edition is a revised and extended version of the first edition. It was issued in connection with the projects METROTRADE and REGMET, and co-financed by the European Commission un-der the 5th Framework Programme.
